And after 5 days of coma, the Quinones family confirmed that he had passed away in the hospital. Quinones's brother shared on Facebook's personal page: “I love you, brother. The Colombian Boxing Federation also expressed his grief at the departure of the 25 -year -old boxer: “It is a pity that Luis Quinones failed in the war with death, we sincerely condolences to his family. Hope Quinones will be rested!”
Jose Munoz, the opponent of Quinones in the last time, also expressed his shock when he received the news of his deceased colleague. He said, “I have never thought a dream can turn into such a quick nightmare.”
“Passionate and desire for success has brought me and he chose the same way together. I have never imagined this can happen to a colleague of my colleague,” Munoz added. “We are always good friends and colleagues. He is really a great athlete.”
