Tony Ferguson has never been the top Lightweight fighter

The match between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson was once considered the match that made MMA fans most welcomed. Both have a long chain of victory, and each wearing the championship. Over the past years, both Khabib and Ferguson have been arranged up to 5 times, but all have been canceled for many reasons, from injury, accidents to poisoning.

However, if the competition takes place, Khabib is confident that he will be the winner. The problem is not necessarily Khabib too confident in himself, but Tony Ferguson seems to have been appreciated by people more than his strength.

“Tony Ferguson is very good, but I never see him as the top boxer. It is hard to keep his form at the peak at the age of 37, except for the boxers in Heavyweight,” Khabib said.

“The second reason I want to mention is that Tony's rivals are not too good. Since 2016, he has fought with Kevin Lee, Eddson Barboza, Anthony Pettis and Donald Cerrone. All of these boxers have lost up to 20 matches in these 4 years. This means that since 2016, Tony has not been upside down with really excellent boxers.”

“But now, when he faces good young boxers, Tony has trouble. I mean people like Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje. They are superior to Tony, you see.
The two boxers overwhelmed Tony Ferguson. “

In the end, Khabib said that he was sorry that his fate did not give the battle between him and Ferguson. But if any, Khabib asserted that Tony Ferguson would be only another name in the list of defeats under his hands.

“I dreamed of the battle with Tony, but in the end it was still not happening. We had a consecutive injury. If fate did not allow it, no one could change that.”

“Anyway, I will overwhelm Tony like all the other opponents. He will not be able to do anything, whether playing Grappling or Stroking. I will beat Tony.”
