Being cowardly, Michael Chandler was determined to compete with Justin Gaethje at UFC 268

After defeating to Charles Oliveira in the Lightweight Battle of Lightweight that Khabib left, Michael Chandler would most likely have the third time on the upper radio in UFC to meet the very popular opponent NHM Justin Gaethje.

According to reports from ESPN, Justin Gaethje and Michael Chandler are said to have agreed with a “mouth agreement” to schedule a glove at UFC 268.

There is currently no official information about this match from UFC. But it is expected that the competition of both will be completed and published in the next few days. The location and time of UFC 268 will most likely be on November 6 at Madison Square Garden.

Earlier, a match between Gaethje and Chandler plans to occur at UFC 262. Instead, Chandler played with Charles Oliveira to scramble for the light championship that Khabib Nurmagomedov left after retired.

The results of that match everyone clearly. Charles Oliveira defeated Michael Chandler in the second half of TKO and held the UFC Lightweight championship belt. It was only Chandler's second match at UFC since he signed an official contract in September last year.

The match between Chandler vs Gaethje was scheduled after the former light champion Gaethje said that Chandler dodged him in UFC 262 and was set to become the main event at UFC 268.

Gaethje tried to unify the weight in the competition with Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 254 in October 2020 but finally lost to the Russian boxer. The boxer currently ranked 2nd in the UFC Lightweight chart had the opportunity to reclaim the light belt but that opportunity was slipped by Michael Chandler chose Charles Oliveira as his opponent in the battle of belt.
