UFC organized two major events in Asia in 2022

More specifically, UFC 275: Teixeira vs Prochazka was held on June 11 at Kallang Stadium, Singapore. 4 months later, the UFC 281 event will take place at the Etihad Stadium of Abu Dhabi, UAE. With UFC 275, this is the first time UFC has organized large martial arts events in Southeast Asia after 3 years.

In the past, the last time an UFC event took place in Southeast Asia was in October 2019. It was the time when Demian Maia lowered Ben Askren at UFC Fight Night 162. In addition to UFC events, Kallang stadiums, Singapore is a place where the event of One Championship takes place.

Earlier in early 2021, UAE was the venue for the match between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor at UFC 257.
