With many members of the National Boxing team focusing on preparing for the 31st SEA Games, Vietnam only sent a representative to attend the Women's Women's Boxing Award. It was Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi, the WBO champion of the Minimum weight class. At the Turkish tournament, Nhi also competed in this balance.

In the match of Thu Nhi, the Malaysian inspection was the only one grading 29-28, thereby assessing Nhi had 1 winning and 2 rounds of loss. All the remaining 3 assessments score 30-27, which means that the reigning World World champion lost in all 3 rounds. That shows a clear and convincing victory of Marta.
