If any boxer deserves the title of Taekwondo, the most abundance of the One Championship, the boxer is Thanh Le. With the forte Taekwondo, Thanh Le can keep a safe distance from the opponent and create the opportunity to launch Knockout punches.
Thanh Le's taekwondo skill comes from the forecasting of his father, the founder of the martial arts martial art of Moon College Taekwondo in Lousiana, USA. Thanh Le's father, though very busy with the work at the factory, is still determined to open a Taekwondo dojo called Moon College Taekwondo, the martial arts is still active to this day.
“Father has created a chance for me to succeed but I did not know that. When I was young, I only practiced for fun because it was a family tradition and because I also loved Taekwondo,” Thanh Le shared. Later, Thanh Le also participated in class in his father's dojo.
Despite his great passion for martial arts, Thanh Le did not think that one day he would become a professional boxer. The turning point of Thanh Le's life only took place in the 26th British, when Thanh Le was an office worker. One night, he and his best friend decided to see an MMA event in his hometown Louisiana.
“We came and watched a few local matches. I and my friend Carlos Vera thought,” It seems good, we should try it! “And so 2, 3 months later we started playing.”
Because MMA is a general competition format, the boxers before stepping on the radio have to go through many different martial arts to be able to adapt and overcome the opponent's fighting style. Despite understanding this very well, the Vietnamese -original puncher has only with the Taekwondo skill set in the first amateur match.
“Actually, we know that MMA is to practice some other subjects such as Boxing, Nhu Thuat, Free Animals and many other subjects. But then, I still decided to play without practicing those extra subjects.”
After 4 consecutive victories in the amateur arena, Thanh Le was confident enough to walk on a professional path. Now, Taekwondo techniques still play a huge role in the technical set of the Vietnamese ONE Championship champion.
