Rin Nakai, a Bantamweight female boxer who played at UFC recently said she wanted to have the opportunity to return to the tournament. More specifically, on Twitter, Nakai had the following sharing lines.
“I continue to want to join UFC
My goal is to become the UFC champion
I want to practice in the US
I have the ability to play at UFC
#UFC “
Rin Nakai entered UFC with a great opportunity for any Japanese MMA boxer – a match against the former Strikeforce champion and the future UFC champion Miesha Tate. Unfortunately for Nakai, the war with Tate led to the first defeat in her achievement table.
Nakai's second and final opportunity in Octagon came in Brisbane, Australia two years later, confronted with another veteran boxer Leslie Smith. After 3 tense rounds Nakai failed on the transcript.
Of the 25 matches in the career of the 34-year-old puncher, her only two defeats were two matches at UFC (22-2-1). Nakai has since moved the weight of Flyweight, where she has won a series of six wins. The most notable name she defeated was Kanako Murata, candidate for UFC's Strawweight stretching and former Invicta FC championship. The victory arrived in Nakai's match at the Rizin FF in 2016, where she performed Rear Naked Choke technique in the 3rd half.
Nakai's last match took place in October 2019 in the tournament for Japanese women Deep Jewels. She defeated Titapa Junsookplung with Armbar in the first half.
