A few days before competing at the Lion Championship 4 event, boxer Kamil Michael Nguyen Van announced the good news to the fans. The reigning runner -up of the tournament has proposed to his girlfriend Leigh Alison Redemer and received agreement. It is expected that in the coming time, Kamil will arrange work to officially take her to the palace.
In order to ensure both professional training and competition as well as individuals, Kamil planned to return to Europe to get married in June. His priority with martial arts in 2023 is still competing in Lion Championship, and towards a challenge of 70kg male weight struggle.
Considered to be one of the rare boxers of MMA Vietnam enough international competition, Nguyen Van Kamil has competed in many past tournaments. When the first MMA events took place in Vietnam, Kamil also became one of many participating faces and soon impressed.
During the Lion Championship 2022 season, Kamil participated from the first rounds. He had a lot of difficulties in the process of pressing, but still ensuring competition conditions. The boxer carries two Vietnamese – Polish bloodlines continuously winning impressive victories to reach the final to meet “brown monster” Tran Quang Loc.
The final match of Lion Championship weight of 70kg weight between Kamil and Quang Loc lasted for 5 rounds, each half. At the end of the match, all 3 judges of Tran Quang Loc won the score (50-45, 48-46, 48-47). This result caused Kamil to continue to receive defeat against the rival with a lot of debt at the professional MMA arena.
