After the Asian championship belts of Truong Dinh Hoang, Tran Van Thao, Boxing Vietnam is having the opportunity to change the first history when the Asia -Pacific World Championship Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi faces the opportunity to compete for world belt on the night of October 23.
Thu Nhi's opponent is Etsuko Tada, a veteran Japanese boxer, who has owned many world championship titles such as WBA, IBF and WBO. Battle Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi vs. Etsuko Tada took place at Wadong Stadium, Ansan City, South Korea.
“The motivation for me to win that is an opportunity to bring glory to my country,” Thu Nhi shared in a conversation with Thethao.vn at the Uzbekistan training area.
“If I was the first to bring the world championship back to the country, then I would go into the history of Boxing Vietnam. That's what I have dreamed of for so long!”
As the defending champion of the Asia -Pacific Wbo champion, owning the World WBO championship is a big step for Thu Nhi.
Puncher Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi is from An Giang's native, starting to practice boxing from the age of 13 and officially became a professional boxer since 2019. Thu Nhi is the winner of the gold medal in the National Championship in 3 years 2015 – 2017-2018; Championships nationwide clubs for 5 consecutive years from 2015 to 2019.
After moving to a professional, Thu Nhi became the first female fighter in Vietnam to win the Asian Wbo Championship in March 2020. It is expected that Thu Nhi will board the plane to Ansan on the evening of October 20 and the World WBO belt with the reigning champion Etsuko Tada on the night of October 23.
Along with Thu Nhi, two fighters Minh Phat and Dinh Hong Quan will also be in Fight Card.
The preparation process of Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi for the World World World Battle is quite hard, when the Covid-19 epidemic caused the Radio Lich of the Asian Wbo champion to postpone many times. But more time also makes Thu Nhi can prepare for the game more carefully.

Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi will face significant challenges from the current champion WBO Etsuko Tada (20-3-3, 7 KOS). As a veteran Japanese boxer, Etsuko Tada beat the outstanding hand. Tada is the reigning WBO World champion thanks to the former Knockout WBA Ayaka Miyao in the 9th half in December 2020.
