The Boxing Championship of the National Teams of 2022 will start from today (March 24) to March 31 at Da Mon Stadium, My Tho City, Tien Giang Province Tien Giang. This is the last hinge tournament organized by the Vietnam Boxing Federation (VBF) before the 31st SEA Games.
The prize will have 27 sets of medals in each age group. The athletes will play in 14 male weight and 13 women's weight classes. The Boxing Championship of strong national teams applies the Law on International Boxing Association (AIBA). Each match has 3 rounds, each round lasts 3 minutes, rest between each half and the score will be announced after the end of the match ended.
A remarkable detail at this event is the absence of the key boxers of the Vietnam boxing team to attend the 31st SEA Games.
However, the No. 1 boxer in Vietnam – Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi will still compete in the Boxing tournament of strong teams nationwide. At the tournament in Tien Giang, Thu Nhi will play for Can Tho delegation.
This tournament will finally review athletes who are not yet the main members can be selected for the national team for the 31st SEA Games. For the individual Thu Nhi, this is an opportunity for her to get used to the amateur boxing to prepare for the sports festival held at home.
