The “Satan Shoes” shoes, advertised as Custom from the Nike Air Max '97 Sneaker with “60cc ink and a drop of human blood”, is the latest product that rapper Lil Nas X cooperates with designer Brooklyn MSCHF.
The shoe model is associated with the image of Satan, the summoning round of the five -pointed star and the ghostly numbers, only releasing 666 pairs, with the order number printed right on the shoe.
As a Christian, Jon Jones responded very strongly about the “demon shoes”. Believing that Nike is behind the “Satan Shoes” production line, Jones said he would “burn the whole” Nike shoes he had.
“I will burn all the Nike pairs I have in the closet,” Jon Jones wrote on Twitter. “You will never see me wearing its shoes again.”
Not only Jon Jones, many other stars also criticized that “Satan Shoes” showed the ruin in the moral values of young people. Nike had to immediately correct that they did not participate in the production process of Lil NAS X and MSCHF, and would even file a lawsuit to protect their rights.
“Nike has filed a complaint MSCHF about trademark copyright infringement,” the world famous shoe company published before the press.
“We have no connection with both Lil NAS X and MSCHF. The” Satan Shoes “pairs are produced without any consensus or transfer from Nike, and of course we are not involved in the aforementioned production project.”
Hopefully this announcement will be Jon Jones's angry fire and many other religious people. Jon Jones itself has been a spokesperson for Nike since 2012.
