The Boxing U23 European Championship 2024 took place in the middle of October 2024 in Sofia, Bulgaria. This is a tournament organized by the European Boxing Federation (EUBC), under the law and managed by the International Boxing Association (IBA). The tournament has 327 fighters of 35 European countries registered to attend.
According to information from IBA, they passed the decision to reward money for boxers to attend the Boxing U23 European Championship 2024.
IBA pledges boxers to attend the Boxing U23 European Championship 2024 to receive 1000 USD per person if reaching the quarterfinals. The boxers reached the semi -final (winning bronze medal) to receive $ 2000. The amount increased to 4000 USD per gold medal, and 8000 USD for the gold medal.

IBA's award notice was released at the time when EUBC prepared an extraordinary conference. At the end of October 2024, EUBC will meet the members to vote on holding membership in IBA, or joining the World Boxing. Many members of EUBC have publicly supported the World Boxing, but most of them have not withdrew from IBA.
In addition to EUBC, the Asian Boxing Federation (ASBC) will hold an extraordinary conference to vote in November. Therefore, the organization of one more conference to vote shows the efforts of ASBC Chairman to turn the flag in the present time.
