Henry Cejudo intends to return to UFC, want to compete for the featherweight championship

Referring to Henry Cejudo, the audience will surely remember an excellent athletes in the fighting sports industry. Henry Cejudo not only won the Wrestling Gold Medal at the Olympic Games, he was also the owner of the two UFC championships in the weight of Flyweight and Bantamweight before announcing gloves in 2019.

But in a recent interview with TSN, the fighter nicknamed “Triple-C” stated: “I officially returned to the arena.”

Each champion of two weight classes, for Cejudo, is not enough:

“No one can say that they have completed everything. Even famous boxers like Khabib, Jon Jones or Demetrious Johnson cannot confirm that. They are all Wrestler but have never won the Olympic gold medal. And here I am, in the hands of Olympic gold medal and 2 UFC championship belts.

In this return, Cejudo is aiming at the third championship in the Featherweight weight class. The English opponent is the one who holds the throne of the current Featherweight – Alexander Volkanovski.

“Dana White knows that I can defeat Volkanovski, a regular fighter with a soft fist with a cotton ball.

“I am faster, more explosive, smarter and Wrestling technique stronger than Volkanovski many times. He is only 2 inches higher than me, this is probably an easy match for me. Dare to everyone that this Australian boxer will have to kneel down in front of me,” Cejudo added.
