In the past few months, Jon Jones had scandal with UFC involving the super battle against UFC's Heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou. According to the original plan, Jones will fight nunnou to compete for the Heavyweight belt, but when Jones requested a great remuneration, the tournament decided to give Derrick Lewis chances to Francis Ngannou.
Seeing Jon Jones continue to make himself, UFC President Dana White asked Jones to fight former Stipe Miocic, but Jones said he was not interested in Miocic.
Speaking on the Steve-O's Wild Ride channel, the legendary UFC, Georges St-Pierre was asked what he thought about Jones's current dilemma. In the view of Georges St-Pierre, Jon Jones decided not to accept the fight against Miocic as a right decision, “Bones” should wait and practice for the match with Ngannou rather than Miocic.
“I think Jon should play with the champion Francis nunnou, not Stipe Miocic. I believe that, if I am Jon Jones – I am in a large game, I should go a right and smart chess water. Jones, otherwise it would be 'a mistake', ”St-Pierre said.
“I believe Jon Jones will beat Stipe Miocic, but why take risks against Stipe when you can wait and fight the champion Francis nunnou, if you hold two championships, it is even better.”
“At that time, Jones will put his name on the list of the greatest punchers of all time, Jones can retire in the sunset. Jones's reputation will be greater than anyone who has ever had a new horizon when Jones retired, Jones could do what he wanted.”
“The problem is that the boxers playing in their careers for too long, after a while at the peak, their career began to go down and they retired. When retiring, the door is no longer expanded because their reputation is no longer like the peak period. That's why you should retire when your career is on the peak.”
