Bui Yen Ly was born in 1995, from Tan Thinh commune, Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province. Bui Yen Ly is very multi -talented when charming with many different martial arts and almost conquered all the martial arts that she practiced such as traditional martial arts, kickboxing, Muay Thai. Especially, Muay Thai has made the name of a very “steel” Bui Yen Ly with the huge achievement in Vietnam.
On a young age, the girl Bui Yen Ly had a very strong personality, whenever watching martial arts matches on TV eyes, she watched each fighter and from there cherished the dream of standing on the ring with proud medals. Originating as the Wushu athlete of the Bac Giang team but did not reap much achievements and predestined relationships between Muay Thai starting in 2011, when coach Duong Ngoc Hai, Head of the Department of Muay Thai and Kickboxing Hanoi saw her qualities and talents, so she recruited into the team.
Recalling the early days full of difficulties, Bui Yen Ly shared: “My family no one follows sports career, when I go against the rank, my parents are quite worried. But when I see you really determined, the whole family supports and encourages me to conquer every tournament.”
Everything was not yet smooth, the weight of Bui Yen Ly at that time was 47kg, the body was very weak and difficult to meet the criteria to practice Muay Thai demanding physical and strength, many times Ly fainted while practicing but with passion, will and energy, the girl of Bac Giang has overcome all the difficulties and then achieved a lot of success in the international arena.
In the domestic arena, Bui Yen Ly always keeps the unbeaten achievements in both Muay Thai and Kickboxing. In 2012, at that time Bui Yen Ly was only 17 years old, she won the National Muay Thai tournament for the first time. Since then, 8 consecutive years Bui Yen Ly dominated the Muay Thai and Kickboxing tournaments nationwide. Currently, Yen Ly is the most achievement of Muay Thai Thai with 16 gold medals Muay Thai, 16 gold medals in the National Championship and Cup, 2 gold medals nationwide in 2014 and 2018.
In the international arena, Bui Yen Ly brought to Vietnam sports in the country of prestigious medals including 1 gold medal The World Games Muay Thai, 4 gold medals in the world Muay Thai, 1 gold medal SEA Games Muay Thai, 1 gold medal Indoors Games Muay Thai, 2 gold medals Asian Beach Games Muay Thai, 1 Asia Kickboxing, 2 G)
With such special and terrible achievements, there is currently no Muay Thai female boxer in the country that can surpass the “female fighter” Bui Yen Ly in terms of achievements. Sharing with the audience about the orientation of the future career path, female boxer Bui Yen Ly said:
“I will continue to practice and compete in the tournaments in the system. Continuing to contribute to martial arts is my dream.
Currently, the female boxer Bui Yen Ly is practicing and competing under the color of the Hanoi team and also plays the role of the coach of a Muay Hanoi team. Constantly in practice and competition, Bui Yen Ly is also an extremely dynamic girl when trying in the business segment and has had her own brand of a lot of business items that practice martial arts tools, gym installation, Ring radio, … Not stopped there, as revealed by Bui Yen Ly, with the amount of bonuses accumulated, she and some friends opened a Korean restaurant on Ly Thuong Kiet street.
“Sports that are harsh but the job is also very short. If the athletes do not proactively prepare for life after retiring, it will be very difficult. My business has not collected too much money but enough to help me to cover my life, accumulate a bit. Bui Yen Ly shared.
