In the context of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) of the right to organize the high achievement boxing of the International Boxing Association (IBA), the Asian Boxing Federation (ASBC) has decided to postpone indefinitely every tournament in 2023. That also means that the Asian Youth Boxing Championship 2023, the Vietnam Recruitment Places will not be able to take place.
According to the official letter from the General Department of Sports and Sports, shared by the Vietnam Boxing Federation (VBF), Vietnam has planned to bring 8 athletes to the Asian Youth Boxing Championship 2023. Besides coach Pham Thanh Hai, 8 boxers mentioned above from 4 different localities, as follows: as follows:
-Dang Bao Ngoc (weight of 48kg women ages 15-16), Tran Thanh Tuyen (weight of 75kg women ages 15-16): belonging to Can Tho unit.
-Luc Thao Thanh (weight of 50kg women ages 15-16), Thi Kim Ngan River (weight of 50kg women ages 17-18), Pham Dang Luu (weight of 80kg male ages 17-18): belonging to Lao Cai unit.
-Thrang Thi Nhung (54kg weight class age 17-18), Luong Anh Tuyet (60kg women's weight class 17-18): belonging to Son La unit.
– Tran Thi Truc Han (57kg weight class aged 17-18): belonging to Tien Giang unit.
The above 8 boxers are potential young athletes, who have achieved good results in national youth championships. However, it is undeniable that this list does not have a representative of many strong units, has a tradition of training and training of the leading Boxing athletes in the country such as Hanoi, Army, Ho Chi Minh City, and many other localities.
With the Asian Boxing Championship 2023 delayed indefinitely, the 8 athletes mentioned above will return to the locality to play at the National Boxing Championship 2023. This year's tournament takes place in Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City, lasting from 9 to 24/7. The tournament is expected to attract more than 400 athletes to attend.
