'Vietnamese boxers will catch up with foreign rivals in Lion Championship for the third season'

Lion Championship is about to step to the final event of the 2023 season. After the belt matches were announced, it was easy to see 3 of the 5 matches with the appearance of foreign boxers including: Robson Oliveira (60kg male), Felipe Negochadle (65kg class) and Bianka Balajti (56kg female).

Along with two foreign boxers holding the belt, Aleksei Filonenko (77kg male) and Chelsey Cashwell (60kg female), the wave of foreign boxers swept the tournament.

Evaluating this issue, experienced referees at Lion Championship – Nguyen Khanh Nguyen said: “MMA Vietnam is still quite new. Compared to foreign boxers, Vietnamese fighters are more lost in the battlefield.

Up to now, Lion Championship has been officially held nearly 2 seasons. This is the test as well as the time for our boxers to get acquainted.

As I assessed, by the 3rd season the story will be very different. At this time, Vietnamese boxers will catch up with the level of international boxers. ”

Robson Oliveira and Felipe Negochadle are showing that they do not have a worthy opponent in the weight class. Except for Tran Ngoc Luong with a fairly balanced match with Robson Oliveira, no boxer has been able to stand before the two Bjj black boxers. At the next LC11 event, Vietnam's hope will be placed on Bui Truong Sinh and Nghiem Van Y.

With Bui Truong Sinh, he has just won the Dragon Fight League championship and shared that he will also be ready to “dry blood” with Robson Oliveira for 60kg belt.

In the remaining match, Nghiem Van Y after the 'cultivation' time will face Felipe Negochadle. The match is expected to be relatively difficult for Asian MMA bronze medals to successfully protect the 65kg Lion Championship belt.
