UFC champion pressed weight, down 15kg in 4 months

We have heard a lot about the deep weight pressing formula in professional martial arts tournaments, but this usually applies to male boxers. For women, those who have a completely different condition, deep weight pressure can cause unpredictable complications. Therefore, female boxers can only squeeze quite little, as well as in a relatively long time.

Harrison forced to weigh with the austere training regime for months

Kayla Harrison, the new UFC champion is the most obvious testimony for that. When Harrison also played at the Olympic playground, her weight fluctuated at 77-78kg. When this boxer moved to the MMA playground, she played in Featherweight and Lightweight (66-71kg). But at UFC, Harrison dropped to Bantamweight (61kg) to compete.

There is information showing that Harrison is low in weight in UFC so that after “blowing” her body about her old body, she will have a weight advantage when playing. But behind that advantage is the regime of training and eating miserable. Harrison personally shared about this difficult schedule of himself, when he had to squeeze deep and methodically, even somewhat ascetic.

“Every time my weight presses for weeks, months. For 12 weeks (3 months) continuously, I run, walk, swim and practice cycling about 10-13km. This process takes place without any holidays for months. To the next 15 weeks, I maintain diet.

At UFC 316, Kayla Harrison became a new champion in the Bantamweight weight class for women. She overcame Julianna Pena in the second half, when performing the locking position, the opponent had to ask for losing. Earlier in the first half, Harrison made Pena forced to make a mistake and deducted 1 point.
