A few minutes before the main card Lion Championship 7 between Tran Ngoc Luong and Tran Minh Nhut took place, the organizers spent time exchanging with a special guest. It was boxer Beneil Dariush, who was ranked 4th in UFC weight lightweight. Dariush opened openly with fans about himself and the MMA Vietnam.
Sharing with the program, Dariush said he was on a visit to Vietnam and was happy to become a guest of Lion Championship. The 34 -year -old boxer is currently in the process of recovery after the latest upper radio. It was Dariush's match to Charles Oliveira and lost the opportunity to challenge UFC belt with Makhachev.
Dariush said he himself felt he was predestined to Vietnam, because his wife was a overseas Vietnamese. In recent years, Dariush has visited Vietnam many times. He practices, activities and interacts with fans at a martial arts club in Ho Chi Minh City. That was when Dariush knew Vietnam also had a professional MMA award.
Commenting on the matches, Dariush said he was quite impressed by the skills of Vietnamese boxers, especially female boxers. However, they need to improve the Grappling skill set. If there is a more complete set of skills, Vietnamese boxers will have more opportunities to compete in international martial arts tournaments.
Besides Dariush, Lion Championship 7 also has a number of foreign guests who have competed at UFC and ONE Championship. This is a positive signal for MMA Vietnam, when the Lion Championship tournament is internationally known and welcomed.
