Last Sunday, former UFC Khabib Nurmagomedov champion and UFC President Dana White had a conversation to determine his future. Unfortunately, after nearly half a year of convincing, Dana White still could not make the “pet chicken” in the tournament and had to let him officially retire.
At the press conference to prepare for UFC 260 this morning, Dana White shared a few words about his feelings about Khabib Nurmagomedov.
“Listen, I talked about people that I would try to force him, bring him back to the tournament,” Dana White said.
“We had a great conversation and I thought he wanted to finish, I didn't think he would come back to the tournament.”
Although the boxers declared retired and then re -exported to “price”, looking for higher remuneration was not rare, but Dana White confirmed Khabib would be an exception.
“I think that when the boxers suddenly re -export, their main cause is for money. I see Khabib will not lack money in the near future.”
The last reason Dana White recounted that with Khabib Nurmagomedov, playing without the spiritual support of the family has become a burden on his shoulder.
“I think the matches have put a burden on his shoulder. His father has passed away and now he has to take care of his mother. I don't think he will be able to withstand pressure anymore.”
