The World Boxing Championship 2023 is counted as an Olympic qualifying round

At the moment, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will take place in less than 18 months. ASBC said that in recent years, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has shown delay in scheduling the Paris Olympic qualifying schedule. On that basis, IBA has replaced IOC to organize qualifying based on achievements of international tournaments.

According to the review results, IBA and ASBC informed the World Boxing Championship 2023 will also be the Paris Olympic qualifying round. The boxers coming to France in the summer of 2024 are calculated on the results of the Asian and Asian Championships, preparing to take place in the near future.

“The elimination of champions from two male and female boxing champions from the Paris Olympic qualifying round is unacceptable. It also means that the phenomenon of contrary to the basic principles of sports, as well as Boxing in particular,” ASBC announced with IBA.

ASBC issued a notice in the context of IOC there is a difficult conflict to heal with IBA. Taking the reason IBA did not do well in the arbitration work, in order to generate many false matches, IOC had deprived the right to organize the Boxing of IBA at the last 2 Olympic periods. The IOC even considers the removal of Boxing from the Olympic competition program.

On the IBA side, the agency is still operating despite the boycott from IOC and many member states. They said it will still hold a world -female boxing championship in India and Uzbekistan, although many countries claim that they will not send athletes to attend.
