Masvidal's father, Jorge Masvidal Sr., was imprisoned 18 years in prison for banned goods. At that time, the BMF champion was only 4 years old, so his mother hid this and said that his father was working away from home in the army.

“I still remember my mother screamed, 'You're just in prison like your father!'”, Masvidal recounted.

“Fortunately, I met my father again at the time,” Masvidal said.

Since then, Jorge Masdival has changed a lot.
Although he still had a few problems with the law, Masvidal never caused a serious problem. After Masvidal entered the professional martial arts competition, his father supported his son and was ready to stand side by side with him in the matches. He is now a “hot” at UFC, holding the BMF championship.
In the upcoming UFC 261 event, Jorge Masvidal will compete for the UFC championship before Kamaru Usman. This glove will take place at Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena (Abu Dhabi) on April 24.
