In early July 2023, the 2023 National Boxing Championship will take place in Ho Chi Minh City. In parallel with this tournament, the Vietnam Boxing Federation (VBF) will organize a national boxing arbitration training course. This is one of the important activities of Boxing Vietnam to train and foster new referees.
This is an opportunity for those who love and care about Boxing can experience the work of an arbitrator, both as a competition and score assessment. As expected, the class will gather many coaches and students across the country to register and study in the near future.
The National Boxing Championship 2023 takes place from 9 to 24/7 at Go Vap District Sports Center. This is a tournament consisting of 3 age groups (13-14, 15-16 and 17-18), with a large scale equivalent to national championships. The matches take place in accordance with the current regulations of the International Boxing Association (IBA).
At the present time, besides the experienced arbitration team and completed the national arbitration training courses, Boxing Vietnam also has 14 referees meeting the international standard 1 -star IBA. These are those who hold the balance, on duty in domestic and international tournaments.
However, for a number of reasons, Vietnam currently has no referee to take the task of arresting and assessment scoring at the last 2 SEA Games period. In the past, Boxing Vietnam used to have an arbitration appeared in 2 London and Rio Olympic Games. It was Mr. Vuong Trong Nghia, an international 3 -star referee.
