The Chairman of IBA would like to thank the Asian Boxing Federation for 'loyalty'

As the Asian Boxing Federation (ASBC) announced, the organization held a meeting in October to vote on whether ASBC would continue to hold membership status of the International Boxing Association (IBA). This decision was made after the International Olympic Committee (IOC) deprived the right to organize the Boxing of the IBA Olympics.

According to ASBC, an extraordinary meeting recorded the presence of 35/43 boxing federation of member countries: Afghanistan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, China, China, Hong Kong China, India, Iran, Iran, Japan, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Laos, Malaysia, Malaysia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Myanmar, Myanmar, Myanmar, Myanmar, Myanmar, Myanmar, Myanmar Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Syria, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, UAE, Uzbekistan and Yemen.

During the meeting, the voting votes of member countries led to unexpected results: 31/35 countries decided to maintain ASBC in IBA. Commenting on this, the Chairman of IBA said that the organization appreciates the member countries of ASBC, showing the loyalty of the Asian boxing community.

“I cherish the decisions of ASBC member countries when maintaining to become part of IBA. In this difficult time, we need to unite strongly to overcome challenges. It is expressed through the number of votes mostly.

IBA began to be removed from the Boxing Management System of high -end Olympic achievements since 2018, the time when they accused IBA there were many mistakes in organizing competitions and financial management. At the Tokyo Olympic Games, the Boxing referee is a special group managed by the IOC. IOC also directly coordinates the organization of Boxing at the Paris Olympic Games instead of IBA.
