One of the rules applied at the World Women's Boxing Championship 2025 is that IBA requires athletes to wear a helmet. Earlier, in the tournament held by IBA at the end of 2024, female boxers aged 19-40 did not wear a hat. But after further considering the health of the athletes, IBA made the same rules.

Here are some basic regulations of IBA for the World Women's Boxing Championship 2025:

– Applying a branched draw mechanism in seeds, based on IBA's international rankings.

– Bout review is applied.

– All weight classes use 10 ounce gloves

– Automatic and random branching draws by computer

– Competition to the end of the quarterfinals

– The matches are run by the referee and 3 -star assessment of IBA

The boxer participating in the competition and reaching the top 5 will have a bonus: gold medal receiving USD 100,000, the gold medal receives $ 50,000, bronze medal (2 boxers lost to the semi -finals) receiving $ 25,000, the 5 -ranked boxer receives $ 10,000. With this regulation, the fighters losing in the quarterfinals will be considered as the final rank.

The total bonus of the World Women's Boxing Championship 2025 is US $ 2.88 million. However, boxers who have “draw medals” will not receive bonuses. In order to avoid this situation, IBA requires martial artists to win at least 1 match to meet the conditions for receiving bonuses from the organizers.

Martial artists who receive “draw medals” often take place in some weight classes with less than 8 athletes registered to play. With the knockout format, each weight of less than 8 athletes competes will have at least 1 person in the semi -finals, thereby certainly receiving bronze medal. IBA's regulations have minimized this case.
