In 3 matches of Vo Thi Kim Anh in the Paris Olympic qualifying round, this boxer was always guided and directed by 2 coaches. It was Mr. Nguyen Nhu Cuong, the head coach of the Vietnam Women's Boxing team, the head of the Hanoi Women's Boxing Department and Tawan Mungphingklang, expert of the Hanoi Women's Boxing team.
Tawan Mungphingklang is a very special, predestined character with Vietnamese boxing for many years. This is the second phase he attaches to Boxing Vietnam. Previously, he had 9 years working at the Hanoi Women's Boxing team as a foreign expert, and supported the national team in the training.
In “Term 1” in Vietnam in the period of 2013-2022, coach Tawan Mungphingklang raised the Hanoi women's boxing. This is the first Hanoi Women's Boxing period to win the SEA Games gold medal, followed by many other international titles, as well as the first time to win tickets to the Olympic Games.
In early 2022, Tawan returned to Thailand, taking the task of leading the national boxing team. In 18 months of repatriation, he helped Boxing Thailand regain the first throne in the whole group in 2 consecutive SEA Games. Coming to the European Olympics, Thailand Boxing won 4 tickets directly to the Paris Olympic Games.
Despite impressive success at home, coach Tawan Mungphingklang still decided to return to Vietnam to work when invited. Again, the expert shows the cooling of training, and helping Boxing Vietnam to have one more ticket to attend the Olympic Games.
Sharing on the personal page after the victory of Vo Thi Kim Anh, coach Tawan wrote: “The task is completed. I have returned to Vietnam successfully with a capacity to attend the Olympic Games. This is the result beyond expectation, a historical achievement of the Vietnamese women's boxing team.
