Tan Vuong Glover Teixeira set a new record in Light Heavyweight UFC

Brazilian Glover Teixeira has just held the 42nd birthday last Thursday, won a complete victory over Jan Blachowicz in the Belt match at UFC 267 this morning in Vietnam.

In terms of the oldest boxer in UFC history, there is a championship, Glover Teixeira is second only to American boxer Randy Couture when he became the Heavyweight champion at the age of 43.

Teixeira had previously played in a championship match at the weight of Heavyweight with Jon Jones 7 years ago, but this puncher did not win Jon Jones. It was not until this morning that Teixeira's whole life became a reality.

After becoming a champion, Teixeira sent a message to all those who were suspicious of their abilities: “Never give up your dreams. No matter what people say, don't listen to those negative people. Believe in your ability, continue moving forward”.

“I have been in the octagonal cage for a long time. The ring is my home, I love the ring,” Teixeira added.

As for Blachowicz, the boxer won the championship at Abu Dhabi more than a year ago, there were words of respect for the opponent who won a press conference after the match.

“Today I am not a champion. My opponent has played well, I have nothing to defend, he has defeated me.”

“I have entered the match, I lost. I would not give up, I would practice and I would come back, you will see me in the octagon cage,” Blachowicz added.
