Taking place in 3 stages from June to December 2022, Lion Championship is the first professional martial arts tournament (MMA) of Vietnam ever. There are more than 120 boxers registered to participate in the tournament, competing in 9 weight classes of men and women (6 men, 3 women).

Stage 1:

– Northern region: Taking place on 11/6 at the Cau Giay District Stadium, Hanoi

– Central region – Central Highlands: Taking place on June 17-19 at Tien Son Sports Palace, Da Nang

– Southern region: Taking place on 8-10/7 at Rach Mieu Stadium, Ward 2, Phu Nhuan, Ho Chi Minh City

Stage 2:

The quarterfinals took place on 9-11/September, the semi-finals took place on October 22-23

Stage 3:

The final round is scheduled to take place in January 2023 in Phu Quoc Island, Kien Giang Province
