This morning (September 20), the Vietnamese sports delegation set out to attend ASIAD 19. Most members move from Noi Bai airport. However, a small number of teams in the southern region move from Tan Son Nhat airport. One of them is the Vietnamese boxing team.
The South Vietnamese boxing team consists of 6 members present at Tan Son Nhat Airport early to make procedures to fly to Pudong airport (Shanghai, China). Members departing from Ho Chi Minh City will join the army from Hanoi here before being taken by the specialized vehicle of the Organizing Committee to the athletes.
Coach and coach Nguyen Anh Dung will have about 3 days to get acquainted, adapt to the weather as well as eat and drink in Hangzhou city. Boxing Asiad 19 started playing preliminary round from September 24, expected to end on October 5.
Earlier, the Vietnam Boxing team closed the list of 14 people attending the 19th Asia, including 1 head of the delegation, 3 athletes, 1 expert and 9 boxers. 4 male boxers were chosen including Nguyen Minh Cuong, Nguyen Van Duong, Bui Phuoc Tung and Nguyen Manh Cuong.
The Vietnam Boxing Recruitment has more than 2 months to prepare for ASIAD 19. The team has a Uzbekistan training trip lasting 1 month, then returning to Vietnam to practice at the sports center in Phan Thiet. Most recently, before going to China, the team had an additional 2 -week training trip in Thailand.
Boxing is one of the subjects in the group besides swimming, athletics, chess, table tennis, gymnastics, wushu, judo, … capable of dispute in medal. In addition, the Vietnamese sports delegation (TTVN) aims to win 2-5 gold medals in archery, shooting, chess, clouds, weightlifting, bicycles, karate.
