Recruiting Boxing Vietnam to return home

At 21h40 on April 22, flight VN606 traveled from Bangkok, Thailand landed at Tan Son Nhat airport. Shortly thereafter, the members of the Vietnam Boxing team returned to their residence. It is expected that the whole team will continue to fly to Hanoi to prepare for the SEA Games as soon as possible.

In fact, the return trip of the Vietnamese team members is divided into 2 phases. Earlier on April 21, some members separated the group first and flew straight to Hanoi. They are expected to join the remaining members when the whole team is in Bac Ninh before the SEA Games.

During the training, traveling in Thailand, the Vietnamese Boxing team won very noticeable results when attending the expanded Thailand. Vietnamese boxers won 2 gold medals, 1 gold medal and 7 bronze medals in the tournament. Nguyen Thi Tam and Vo Thi Kim Anh are Vietnamese boxers winning gold medals in the last tournament.

In addition to attending the 31st SEA Games, the Vietnamese boxing team is likely to send at least 1 athlete to attend the World Women's Boxing Championship 2022. This tournament takes place coincides with the time when the SEA Games starts, so many Vietnamese athletes cannot attend as expected.

According to the schedule published by the SEA Games organizers, Boxing will take place from May 15 to 22 at the sports gymnasium of Bac Ninh province. The boxers compete in 7 men's weight classes (52kg, 57kg, 63kg, 69kg, 75kg, 81kg, 91kg) and 6 women's weight classes (48kg, 51kg, 57kg, 60kg, 69kg, 75kg).
