Rafael Dos Anjos knows why Conor McGregor never recalled the challenge at UFC 196

In 2016, the MMA fans had almost had a two -weight Superfight match at UFC, between the Lightweight Rafael Dos Anjos champion and the Featherweight Conor McGregor at UFC 196.

Unfortunately, that match could not come true because Rafael Dos Anjos was injured in the training process. However, 5 years have passed, Rafael Dos Anjos still did not forget Conor McGregor. He repeatedly wanted to have a competition with the Irish superstar, but this has not happened. The reason? Perhaps because a confrontation with Rafael Dos Anjos in Lightweight is not really a good option for Conor McGregor.

“I don't feel like I will be a good choice for Conor McGregor,” Rafael Dos Anjos revealed on Sherdog. “I am a Southpaw boxer, I have a dangerous material strategy for him, and I also use a lot of kicks on the calf. In my opinion, it will be much more interesting if the Conor and UFC chose to promote the third rematch between him and Dustin Poirier or Nate Diaz.”

“Similarly, Nate Diaz is the same. My tactics make it quite difficult for Nate Diaz's fighting.

Rafael Dos Anjos is currently ranked 7th on the Lightweight rankings, and Conor McGregor is only one step above him at the 6th place. From the rankings, the comparison between McGregor and Dos Anjos is now an ideal match.
