One Championship is still famous for its martial arts events, such as events that last a day like One Century. And now, they seem to be planning a similar stature event to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the founding tournament.
President One, Mr. Chatri Sityodtong, said it would be a big event in September, and would be an “historic” event.
“We plan to organize a special event this year to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the martial arts industry,” SityODTONG told the International Business Times. “It will be a huge event.”
ONE Championship boxers currently have many top names from MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Grappling, Grappling, etc. they will be part of the match list to celebrate this important milestone.
A number of events that One Championship has held in the past has made a great reputation when it was welcomed worldwide, such as One Century 1 and One Century 2 have been a great success in the US. One has also planned a tournament with Fight Card completely for female fighters, One Empower, but unfortunately the event was postponed by Covid-19.
Many opinions of the audience think that One can try a Fight Card One Championship vs. UFC is like what they proposed earlier this year. Chatri Sityodtong did not mention this issue, he only affirmed the stature of the 10th year of the tournament.
“I can assure you that it will be one of the biggest events, if not the biggest event in the history of martial arts,” Sityodtong said.
