The fact that Tran Thi Oanh Nhi reached the final weight of the women's 75kg weight at the Thai Boxing tournament was quite unexpected. At the age of 30, the Tien Giang boxer was no longer as well as before, but she continuously won to enter the last match against Philippine boxers Hergie Bacyadan.

Entering the match with Bacyadan, Oanh Nhi, though trying hard but still could not proactively regulate the pace of competition at her will. The advantage of bodybuilding and arms is not enough for Oanh Nhi to fight long -range, by Bacyadan, it is too agile in close situations. The first half closed with the victory belonged to the Philippine puncher.

Entering the second and 3rd matches, Bacyadan continued to take advantage with very heavy punches targeting Oanh Nhi. Vietnamese boxers were very resilient to support and return, but that was not enough to help her turn the situation. The match closed with the final victory 5-0 in favor of Bacyadan.

Interestingly, right after being recognized by the referee, Bacyadan unexpectedly lifted Oanh Nhi to run around the ring. Both boxers laughed happily to share their feelings after the match even though the winner of the loser. This is also the final final of the Vietnamese delegation on April 9.

At the end of the 2022 Boxing Boxing tournament, the members of the Vietnam Boxing team will continue to stay in the practice before the SEA Games. It is expected that at the end of April – early May, the team will fly straight to Hanoi to move to Bac Ninh.
