Cesar Gracie, the long -time coach of the Diaz brothers, recently said that Nick Diaz is very ready to return to the ring in September. However, it is also likely that Nick Diaz will not return to UFC, but instead he will seek opportunities in other tournaments.
“We expect to be up to September,” Gracie said in an interview with MMA Fighting. “Before that, we would need to reconsider Nick's contract with UFC. It is likely that his next match will not be there.”
In his final match at UFC 183, Nick Diaz confcends the “Spider” Legend of Anderson Silva, losing the consensus point but was later canceled by the prohibited Silva.
The chain of the Diaz brother in UFC is not really successful – he won 1, lost 2, before the monuments like Georges St -Pierre and Carlos Condit. However, it is undeniable that with the fierce “blood -selling” style, Nick Diaz even has more fans than UFC champions.
Cesar Gracie also mentioned that Nick Diaz had the idea of on the boxing floor after witnessing the matches like Ben Askren vs. Jake Paul, or Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul. In the case of Nick Diaz back to UFC, names like Matt Brown or Jorge Masvidal can become his opponent.
