After Tran Quang Loc announced his retirement, the 70kg Lion Championship Lion Champion is empty. For that reason, the organizers decided to choose the two highest rankings to compete, in order to find a new champion in this weight class. According to that regulation, the eligible boxers are Kamil and Ban Van Hoang.
In Lion Championship in the 2023 season, Ban Van Hoang showed that he converged many factors to become a new star of the tournament. Young boxers have defeated many opponents in turn with the victories/TKO. In the last match, he defeated TKo senior Nghiem Tung Lam in the second half.
On the side of Nguyen Van Kamil, this is the 3rd match of overseas Vietnamese boxers in the Lion Championship 2023 season. In the first match, Kamil Ha Nghiem Tung Lam with a lock in the first half of the Lion Championship 4 event. This victory helped him challenge the struggle with Tran Quang Loc.
However, at Tran Quang Loc's rematch, Kamil once again received a defeat. He played quite proactive in the first two rounds of the match, but for the opponent to regain the game when entering the final half. The match closed with victory by calculating the point in favor of Quang Loc, and Kamil had to wait for more opportunities to compete for belt.
