On July 6, the Department of Science and Sports Medicine held a health consultation with boxer Nguyen Thi Tam (the reigning the world boxing runner -up, the reigning Asian champion, the SEA Games 30, 31). This is an important consultation, determining whether the boxer born in 1994 has enough training to be towards ASIAD 19 or not.
The consultants for Nguyen Thi Tam include Dr. Nguyen Trong Hien (Head of Science and Technology Department), Doctor Tran Anh Tuan (Department of Science and Technology), Technician Nguyen Thi Minh. The guests of the consultation were Dr. Nguyen Van Phu (Director of Doping Prevention Center) and coach Nguyen Nhu Cuong, the head coach of the national boxing team.
At the consultation, the doctors said that the ligament in front of Nguyen Thi Tam's left knee (injured when playing SEA Games 32) was returned to normal. The ligaments on the T2 pulse of the center are also almost normal. Initially, she was diagnosed with ligament rupture in front of her left leg, but then the doctor concluded that she was only broken.
On that basis, the doctor concluded that Nguyen Thi Tam could return to high intensity training and attend ASIAD. Most likely Tam will continue to play 50kg weight weight with the goal of winning tickets to the Olympic Games. ASIAD 19 is included in the Paris Olympic qualifying system. In the weight class of Tam, she needed to reach the semi -finals to have the opportunity to the Olympics.
Nguyen Thi Tam is 29 years old, is the highest -class athlete of Boxing Vietnam in the high achievement arena. She won the SEA Games twice, 2 Asian championships, once attended the Olympic Games and once won the gold medal in the world championship.
