Nguyen Thi Tam practiced without rest to protect the gold medal SEA Games

As the number one hope of Boxing Vietnam at the present time, Nguyen Thi Tam has a dense training and competition schedule in 2023. After the World Women's Boxing Championship, the 29 -year -old female boxer will continue to play SEA Games 32 and ASIAD 2023 before heading to the Paris Olympic Games, the tournament held in the summer of 2024.

Sharing about the training plan, Nguyen Thi Tam said: “The coaching staff has planned the best preparation for all domestic and international tournaments from the beginning. Therefore, for each tournament, the coaching staff will make a schedule to help me maintain my style, while ensuring the achievement has been set.”

The thoughtful training and competition plan is the key to helping Nguyen Thi Tam have an impressive series of achievements over the past time. Since the beginning of 2022, she has won the Thai championship, successfully defending the SEA Games gold medal, the Asian Boxing Championship and winning the Gong Boxing Women's Boxing Prize.

Another noteworthy detail is that after the World Women's Boxing Championship 2023 closed, Nguyen Thi Tam only had a few days of rest before returning to the training. She said she would not go out or relax after the tournament, but will enter early practice to prepare for the upcoming tournaments.

“In the Southeast Asia arena, I will try harder to successfully protect the SEA Games gold medal,” Nguyen Thi Tam said. At the present time, she is also the only boxer of Boxing Vietnam to successfully protect the gold medal at the Southeast Asian Games.
