As one of the localities with the most powerful training and competition in the country, Ho Chi Minh City soon held a young boxing championship in the city right after the 2022/23 school year. This is an important tournament to select typical and potential faces of Boxing Ho Chi Minh City in the future.
According to information from the Organizing Committee, the Gifted Boxing Championship in Ho Chi Minh City 2023 has nearly 200 athletes registered to attend. The boxers will compete at 3 ages 13-14, 15-16 and 17-18. The tournament has a total of 83 content of medal competition, including 42 contents of men and 41 contents for female athletes.
Taking place from 8 to 14/6, the Gifted Boxing Championship in Ho Chi Minh City 2023 was conducted at the District 7 Stadium. The tournament was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Boxing Federation. The organizers opened the freedom to welcome the audience to watch and not sell tickets.
On the basis of the fighters who achieved good results at the Gifted Boxing Championship in Ho Chi Minh City 2023, Boxing Ho Chi Minh City will set up a team to attend the National Boxing Championship 2023. According to information from the Vietnam Boxing Federation, the tournament takes place from 9-24/7 at the Go Vap District Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City.
At the present time, Ho Chi Minh City is among the few localities organizing the boxing championship for the gifted athletes. This shows the efforts of the Ho Chi Minh City Boxing people in building tournaments to help the athletes have more experience rubbing and improving the level of competition.
