10 years have passed since the first professional boxing event was held in Vietnam. Since then, the movement of training and professional boxing competition has gradually formed. However, most of them still occur individually, without a methodical guidance from experts.
On that basis, the professional boxing board (VBC) under the Vietnam Boxing Federation has continuously organized personnel training courses for professional boxing activities. Following the success from the arbitration training course in December 2023, VBC continued to organize supervision training courses, organizers and coaches.
Taking place in 2 days 17 and 18/2 (ie 8th and 9th of the Lunar New Year), supervision training class, organizer and professional boxing coach were held at the headquarters of the Vietnam Boxing Federation. The training class is directly guided and taught by experts from the professional boxing organization WBA Asia.
As noted by Ithethao.vn, one of the most advanced officials of WBA Asia present at the training course is Mr. Kim Won, General Secretary WBA Asia. The class also has the presence of Mr. Chalerm Prayadsab, International Boxing Arbitration, Chairman of the Thai Boxing Committee; Mr. Samson IU, member of the Chinese Macao Boxing Committee; Mr. Liu Gang, the boss of WBA Asia; Mr. Hao Tao Zhou, Member of the Executive Committee WBA Asia.
In 2 days, the lecturers and experts of WBA Asia were directly in the 4th grade to guide the activities of the professional boxing. Thereby, nearly 150 participants received basic knowledge and improving the tasks and roles of the boss, supervision, as well as the coach operating in the field of professional boxing.
At the end of the 2 -day course, students were granted certificates for each content. This is the first step to help Boxing Vietnam take important steps in building a team of personnel in the professional boxing segment; Thereby contributing to training more athletes and good fighters at home and abroad.
