Taking place on October 15 in Ho Chi Minh City, the National Congress of the Vietnam Boxing Federation (VBF) for the second term is the gathering of enthusiastic management characters with Boxing in Vietnam in recent years, as well as unifying the way of developing this sport in the near future, both on the scope of Boxing high achievement and professional boxing.
During the first term, VBF has achieved certain success in organizing a system of national boxing championships with a frequency of 3 prizes per year. This is one of the pioneering sports federations using socialization budget. Also in the first term of the Federation, Boxing Vietnam had boxers who won tickets to the Olympic Games such as Nguyen Thi Tam and Nguyen Van Duong.
One of the guests attending the National Congress of VBF term 2 is Mr. Dang Ha Viet, Director of the Department of Sports, Head of the Vietnam Sports Delegation at the 32nd SEA Games and ASIAD 19. Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Dang Ha Viet offered frank perspectives to improve the status of Boxing Vietnam, and aim to bigger goals in the future.
At the meeting, VBF elected the Executive Committee for the 2nd term, as well as 9 members of the Executive Committee Standing Committee. Mr. Luu Tu Bao, Director of Saigon Sports Club Club (SSC) was officially elected Chairman of Vietnam Boxing Federation. Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, General Secretary of the Military Martial Arts Federation was elected Vice Chairman and General Secretary.
Besides Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, VBF term 2, there are 4 vice presidents, Mr. Vu Xuan Thanh (Deputy Head of Sports Department of high achievement 1, Department of Sports and Sports), Mr. Nguyen Dinh Nghia (Director of Hai Phong Sports and Sports Training Center), Mr. Nguyen Dang Khanh (Director of Ho Chi Minh City Sports and Sports Training Center) and Mr. Nguyen Van Nghia.
VBF Chairman of the 2nd term, Mr. Luu Tu Bao, is one of the most famous martial arts bosses in Vietnam at the moment. As the General Director of Saigon Sports Club (SSC), Mr. Luu Tu Bao and the representative of the Shadow Entertainment athlete organized many successful international martial arts events in Vietnam.
SSC and Shadow Entertainment are currently the training and activities of many leading Vietnamese boxers such as “Quyen Vuong” Truong Dinh Hoang, WBA Asian champion Vo Hong Dat, Champion Muay WBC International Truong Cao Minh Phat, also many excellent boxers such as MMA boxer Tran Ngoc Luong, boxing boxing Le Huu Toan, Nguyen Ngoc Hai …
