Representatives of the Vietnam General Martial Arts Federation, headed by Chairman Ngo Duc Quynh, had a meeting with Major General Nguyen Cong Bay – Deputy Director, representative of the Party Office, Political Affairs (X03) Ministry of Public Security and Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Hai, Director of the People's Police Training and Competition Center (CAND).
At the talks, the Vietnam MMA Federation proposed a program to coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security's agencies on the development of the training movement – Building a team of athletes and martial arts coaches at the CAND Sports Training and Competition Center.
The coordination program on the MMA Vietnam Federation proposes 4 main goals based on 6 contents. Major General Nguyen Cong Bay basically agreed with the proposals from the Union and assigned the tasks to the CAND Sports Training and Competition Center in collaboration with the MMA Vietnam Federation to develop a detailed plan, prepare relevant documents to submit to the leadership of the Party and Political Works (X03) the Ministry of Public Security for approval.
The CAND Sports Training and Competition Center is a unit with facilities, experience in training athletes competition, contributing to the success of Vietnamese sports in general and martial arts tournaments in particular in international arenas, a potential partner with the Federation in the process of replicating and developing MMA in Vietnam in the way of the Party, the State's legal policies on sports and physical training and sports policies.
The Vietnam – VMAF martial arts federation was established on May 30, 2020, marking a historic development milestone of the general martial arts department in Vietnam, towards standardizing the organization, the system of competition rules, class, professional techniques, bringing Vietnam MMA extensive integration with international MMA.
VMMAF Executive Committee consists of 21 members with Mr. Ngo Duc Quynh as Chairman. Chairman Ngo Duc Quynh said the Federation will try to mobilize all resources from home and abroad to create conditions for MMA to develop in Vietnam. He also hoped to soon improve the position of Vietnamese martial arts in general and MMA Vietnam in particular on the international arena.
