Miesha Tate returned to the goal of regaining UFC Bantamweight

Miesha Tate, 34, will face Marion Reneau, the 12th boxer in the Bantamweight weight class on July 17.

Although this is the first match of Miesha Tate after 4 years of retirement, the female boxer still feels full of life.

“I am very happy, I'm really like that. There was a fire that was lit inside me,” Tate said. “My heart is completely full of passion. I feel like I am completely revived. When you know what you need, you will realize yourself, and I know it.”

Miesha Tate added that she wanted to regain the Bantamweight Women's Bantamweight belt and revenge for the defeat against Amanda Nunes, the reigning champion.

“I still have six matches in the contract, I have two years of competition, and I know for sure that I want to contribute to this sport,” Tate shared.

“Whatever can happen later in the match. To be honest, I really don't know exactly what will happen. It is very interesting to me. But I can tell people this, in the next two years, my plan is to focus on competing. I want to become a champion again.”

Miesha Tate's most recent match was at the UFC 205 event, she lost to Raquel Pennington. Tate's return event will be UFC on ESPN + 52, her match with Reneau may be on the maincard list.
