Manny Pacquiao had a relatively difficult night when Thuong Dai and his young opponent were taller than Yordenis Ugas. Despite the very good attack and counterattack, Pacquiao was still defeated by Ugas on the transcript by a technical style.
In the interview right after the match, the boxing legend did not deny the intention of hanging gloves. However, he seemed to have another plan after 3 days of thinking: Manny Pacquiao now wants a rematch against Ugas in January.
“I can return in January, I will consider that possibility,” Pacquiao said in an interview with The Athletic.
“I know I can arrange the rematch if I want. Just a conversation with Al Haymon. I want to rematch because I can't believe I lost to one of the easiest opponents I have ever faced.”
Does this affect Manny Pacquiao's campaign? The answer is possible, because the campaign in the Philippines will start in February next year.
If so, Pacquiao still has time to arrange a rematch.
“Ugas has only one tactic, and I should have been able to dodge more easily,” Pacquiao commented on the last match.
“You must also know how flexible I have moved in previous matches. This match is not – I can't move.”
