The former champion of Ricky Hatton was extremely angry when Floyd Mayweather fought with a Youtuber Logan Paul, who launched a professional boxing in 2019.
Hatton believes that 44 -year -old “Poison” is tarnishing boxing in the way he arranges matches and manipulates his own will. It was like an action against those who used to be boxers when they retired, when all were in the name of money.

“Now we have boxers coming out of YouTube to fight because it is the place to make the most money today due to the social media world we live in?
“I can play in a friendly match like Mike (Tyson), and Roy (Jones) did, but the greatest martial artist of all time (Mayweather), who has only retired before a single person who is unworthy, and that is the reason why many people follow him, not because he had previously defeated?
“Money is important; that's why we go from amateur and move to professional, but today the money seems more important than the heritage.”
