As one of the most noticeable faces of the MMA Vietnam Champion Lion Championship qualifying round 2022 in the Central – Central Highlands region, Pham Ba Hoi owns an impressive achievement table. He has won the National Kickboxing for many years, and won gold medals at the 30th SEA Games.
At Lion Championship 2022, Pham Ba Hoi registered to compete in a 56kg item. His opponent in the first match was Nguyen Minh Hoa, a boxer of AWC martial arts club. Minh Hoa was the youngest boxer in the Central – Central Highlands qualifier when he just turned 18.
With a knack for kickboxing, Pham Ba Hoi uses quite a lot of low stone attacks in the first seconds to confront Nguyen Minh Hoa. The 18 -year -old young boxer did not have many opportunities to fight from afar even though he was originally a Karate boxer, so Minh Hoa chose to close to the hitting with Ba Hoi.
It was difficult for Ba Hoi to be switched to the beginning of the first half. The first half closed with the inconsistent situation between two boxers.
Entering the second half, Ba Hoi used less stone attacks. However, Ba Hoi's tactics only really changed and surprised the opponent when this boxer decided to proactively approach and then Minh Hoa on the floor. Instead of hitting long -range with foot attacks, Ba Hoi decided to lower the opponent with a tight lock.
Ba Hoi's tactics promote the effect immediately afterwards. Minh Hoa initially had a little advantage, but soon lost to the SEA Games champion. When the second half was less than 1 minute, Ba Hoi could do the triangle lock, and then switch to Guillotine Choke.
Ba Hoi's dangerous attack caused Minh Hoa to tap out, thereby ending the match in the second half.
