These are all new boxers who were promoted to Lion A of Lion Championship, the match between Dinh Chi Cong and Nguyen Hop Hai was chosen to be the beginning of the Lion Championship 10 event. Being higher than the opponent before going to the radio, Hop Hai showed that he owned a comprehensive MMA skill set, not only within Vovinam.
In most of the competition time, Hop Hai approached Chi Cong and performed many things. The tactics of the boxer of Wushu King have worked when he does not allow the opponent to perform striking attacks. In some situations, Hop Hai also attacked well when capturing Mount and crushing the opponent to the floor.
In the third half, in a situation that occupied Mount close to the cage, Hop Hai launched a very heavy punch combo into Chi Cong and her own. Feeling that Chi Cong was somewhat shocked, and did not raise his hand to block the attack from the opponent anymore, the referee immediately intervened and recognized the victory for Hop Hai.
The victory over Dinh Chi Cong helped Nguyen Hop Hai to have his first victory since he was put on the A Lion Championship. He also shows that he is one of the potential fighters of MMA Vietnam, not just within the framework of Vovinam and traditional martial arts as before.
Unlike conventional events, Lion Championship 10 takes place on Phu Quoc Island. This is the first special event of 2023, with all matches taking place in Group A. In particular, the Organizing Committee decided to put into the 2 -match competition program in the weight classes of women.
