On the morning of June 13, the boxers at the Lion Championship 23 event were present in Hanoi to complete the final scaling procedure, before preparing for the matches tomorrow at June 14 at Tay Ho Stadium, Hanoi.
While the majority of the boxers reach the standard weight, one of the two main characters of the event – boxer Le Van Tuan has not been able to reach the request at the first test. The fist was born in 1994, reaching 56.6kg – more than 0.6kg compared to the regulations. This is the scales published in the face of the boxers taking place about 30 minutes after the first official scales.
Le Van Tuan is allowed to have an additional 2 hours to cut the second time, according to the tournament charter. If he could not cut the standard scales, he would be deducted 20% of the bonus directly transferred to Pham Van Nam. At the same time, more importantly, he will not be able to win the championship despite winning.
However, fortunately Le Van Tuan successfully cut 0.65kg when he was given the second opportunity. With the final weight confirmed by the referees at 55.95kg, Le Van Tuan will enter the belt match in accordance with the rules without any change.
This is a very important match for Le Van Tuan because the first time has the opportunity to compete for the title of championship at Lion Championship, after participating in the first three seasons. The boxer from Bien Hoa has made a clear progress in the locking skill segment to be given the opportunity this time.
On the contrary, Pham Van Nam will face the opportunity to become the first martial artist to hold the Lion Championship belt of Vinh Vien, if he won Le Van Tuan to mark the third consecutive stretch of the tournament.
Lion Championship 23 will start at 19:00 on June 14 at Tay Ho Stadium, Hanoi and are broadcast live on Fanpage of the tournament
