Considered as one of the most worthy boxers of UFC recently, Khamzat Chimaev confirmed that he would not play in the next 2 months. Sharing on his personal page, Swedish boxer -Russian boxer said he would not accept the competition until the month of Ramadan and Muslims closed.
In 2023, Ramadan chay month lasted from March 22 to April 20. Muslims will not eat during the time from the sun to sunset. That affects the condition of the devout fighters like Chimaev, so he decided not to accept the competition.
The last time Chimaev appeared at an UFC event was in September 2022, when he defeated Kevin Holland with a first half lock. Most likely he only returned in May, with an unpredictable opponent. There are many boxers who can fight with Chimaev.
An interesting detail is that at the end of last year, Chimaev caught attention by statement on his personal page. He said: “No one dares to fight me. They gave me 4 boxers, 4 candidates from 4 different countries, but no one dared to fight. My match was constantly changing.
“Many boxers like to go online, say loudly about the fact that he wants to fight with me. But when UFC cable matches and offer to sign the official competition, they all escape,” Chimaev said. He currently ranks 3 in UFC's Welterweight weight, but can also promote Middleweight if needed.
Chimaev's achievements are 12 wins, including 6 victories and 5 victories with Submission. He played within the framework of the Brave CF professional MMA chain of the Middle East before signing a contract with UFC. Chimaev used to attract attention on the new day to UFC, when he won 2 consecutive matches in just 10 days.
