Sharing on The Simple Man Podcast, the American Jujitsu master of Ethan Crelinsten declared: “We will send a team to Kazakhstan to fight Jujitsu. Currently, there is no information about whether Khabib has accepted the challenge of Ethan's squad.
“We have many boxers in different weighing classes, from 60kg to 99kg,” Ethan added. However, the time of organizing this match was not closed by the two parties. In the case of Khabib and his colleagues agreed to play, each party will send 5 boxers to play each single match in similar weight classes.
In fact, Khabib has almost never studied Jujitsu technology as well as many other boxers of this subject. If many UFC champions used to own the Jujitsu black belt, Khabib just stopped at the white belt, the “broken” level for new fighters. But that does not mean Khabib's technical technique is not good.
In the majority of matches at UFC, Khabib often won early, or overcome the opponent overwhelmingly with objects and locks. He did not study Jujitsu advanced, but still owned a good locking technique thanks to Sambo, a martial art of Russia with many objects in the lesson plan.
Owning Sambo techniques at high level makes Khabib have many times to disregard Jujitsu. 10 years ago, when Khabib attended a press conference, he appeared with a shirt with the words “Sambo that was easy, it was called Jujitsu”. This is also the reason why many Jujitsu boxers are annoyed with Khabib.
