John Michael McCarthy (born October 12, 1962) is a former professional martial artist MMA, famous for the saying “Let's Get It On”. He used to be an referee in many important matches at UFC and Bellator, who held the balance decided to win and lose each match.
McCarthy has stopped working as an referee to pursue a commentary, but only a year. Since returning, McCarthy has been an referee for global promotion programs including UFC, K-1 (Japan), Strikeforce, Affliction, Bellator, ..
Having been with professional martial arts for more than 20 years, McCarthy knows the rules. Even when he retired, he often posted to expose the holes in the matches.
Most recently, McCarthy spoke out about losing to the referee's EDDIE Alvarez in the match against Lapicus as “ridiculous”.
